This is tremendously popular and is often the first opportunity that children will have to see a live performance. The show is performed by retired head teacher Keith Sandall, a professional musician and entertainer, who by popular demand returns year after year. The show includes puppets and live music/songs using a variety of instruments - with lashings of audience participation. Creativity is actively encouraged.

Keith provides a selection of musical instruments and creates an interactive atmosphere in which the children are stimulated to take part. Requirements for key stage 1 and 2 of the National Curriculum are covered. Keith demonstrates various styles of music. He covers the elements of pitch, tempo, dynamics, timbre and the use of these within the structure of music. Participation occurs with songs and rhythmic ideas. The emphasis is on fun whilst being informative - edutainment being the operative word.

In the PERCUSSION WORKSHOP children are encouraged to explore the world of rhythm using African drums and tuned percussion.

End of terms are particularly popular, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
